Google showed that I would climb 1,400 feet today, but descend 2,500 feet. I didn't fully grasp that all the climbing was in the first half of the ride. Just when I was getting sick and tired of climbing, I started to glide downhill and pretty much coasted the last 15 miles of the ride. The day was overcast and in the low 50's, and the wind was not a factor. Yesterday I found a great grocery store in Custer and got the ingredients for a bagel supreme for breakfast! I'm dying for some good sushi or Dim Sum :-)
