Today was gorgeous from start to finish: on the cool side all day and hardly any headwind, whew! Google wanted me to climb two steep hills... the first was great and hard work, so I said "no thank you" and skipped the second hill :-)
Not a cloud in the sky at 8am... I've always loved the reflections off tanker trucks...
When you leave the Mississippi, you ride up winding canyon roads until you reach the plateau, and then zoom down canyons back to the river:
Riding into Frontenac, I met up with another bicyclist, Tom, who turned out to be the best riding companion and guide. He showed me a special bicycle seat he has that may be helpful to me as well, and he gave me a great recommendation for lunch at the Whistle Stop Cafe, where I got a great BLT and onion rings...
