Ok, I'm a few days behind in blogging, and I'll explain why... it turns out my first rest day in Chicago was a little more exciting than I wanted...I ended up in the emergency room of Northwestern Memorial hospital, diagnosed with a bladder infection:
They gave me IV antibiotics and some other medicine, and by the evening I felt well enough to walk back to John and Ben's apartment, enjoy some great deep dish Chicago style pizza:
And watch Chicago's weekly firework display refecting off a nearby building:
I'm so sorry you got sick! I'm so glad the antibiotics helped. That deep dish pizza looks like a fitting reward for getting through it all! -Nof
We know it’s not easy biking such long distance, but not this kind of “not easy”. There is 2015 movie “walk into the woods”, two 60-year old gentlemen hiking 2000 miles Appalachian trail, they didn’t finish. They knew it’s time to quit, they went home. The experience they shared is nothing less than hiking to the last mile. Most time, you dream, you try, you detour to another destination, it may bring more out of the life. Be healthy!
Oh no! I'm glad you are doing well now!
