Today was a sweet ride: a little humid, but not too hot, not too cold, not too windy, lots of beautiful bike paths and no chunky gravel :-). The route started in the Detroit suburbs, wound through some industrial areas and then became really leafy. We stopped at a lovely farmers market and made friends with another rider, Russ, who knew the twists and turns of the trails... I plan to write more about this on our next rest day, but each day of our ride has been filled with lovely interactions, and people have been so kind and generous to us, so many drivers have stopped at intersection to let us cross... anyway today continued this trend :-)
The delicatessen we wanted to eat at wasn't opened yet... so we made our own bagels and lox from the supermarket for our second breakfast, and later, while Mark and Russ had lunch in the park, I grabbed a little Wendy's :-)

And then a picture of the lawyer at work in his new office:
The snapshot: 42 miles, starting at 7:30am and ending at 2pm, with 5 hours of actual riding:
That umbrella drink reminds me of some disney or pixar movie and I can't remember which one! That sounds fun getting to link up with other riders like Russ -Nof
Bitten bagel is better than bitten sandwich:-). You deserve friendship from all the people, stranger or no stranger :-). Looking forward to the next rest day stories
